These old WPA posters are great. Simple, bold graphics that grab your attention and deliver a message…

…to get out and See America!

Or to stamp out syphilis, depending on the demographic?

Oh yeah, Discover Puerto Rico! The landscapes are so soothing….

These are all old school posters, archived at the library of congress as a collection of the Works Progress Administration’s efforts to stimulate and educate New Deal Era America. I’ve always liked the WPA posters and have thought a series of natural attractions here in our home state could be interesting. Kind of like graphic artist Michael Schwab’s series of northern California:

I’m not quite ready to share these ideas just yet, but when I am, rest assured that I’ll know it.
