Veterans Day 2011

We live in a relatively peaceful part of the world here in the United Sates. There are street gangs here and there, occasional natural disasters, but most of our riots are sports related. It’s easy to lose sight of all the real battles, past and present, that were waged to protect the freedoms we Americans so casually enjoy. So it shouldn’t matter where one stands on the political/religious/financial/gender spectrum, on this one day we should all be 100% in agreement.

On Veterans Day 2011, thank a vet. Take a few moments and write a letter to someone you’ve never met, but appreciate greatly.

Visit Operation Gratitude for guidelines. Volunteers will screen the letters before sending them on, so send multiple letters in one envelope.
